Presentation du poste
Le poste de responsable des communications, basé en Afrique, consiste à piloter, au sein de l’ONG Sightsavers, le déploiement de la stratégie mondiale de communication et des plans thématiques. Le/la titulaire du poste aura pour missions principales de coordonner les actions avec les équipes programmes et les partenaires externes, de concevoir des contenus créatifs et percutants, et d’appuyer les équipes de terrain en matière de communication et de renforcement de capacités. Il·elle devra également élaborer et gérer les budgets alloués, assurer le suivi-évaluation des activités de communication, rendre compte des résultats et veiller à l’intégration des principes d’inclusion du handicap et d’égalité de genres dans tous les supports. Ces missions requièrent une forte capacité de coordination, de planification et de plaidoyer, ainsi qu’une aptitude à travailler en environnement multiculturel et à distance.
Le profil recherché est celui d’un·e professionnel·le expérimenté·e, justifiant d’une solide expérience en communication stratégique et en gestion de projet dans le secteur humanitaire ou du développement. Une bonne connaissance des enjeux de santé mondiale, de justice sociale et d’inclusion est exigée, de même qu’une expérience confirmée en gestion d’équipe et en élaboration de budgets. Le·la candidat·e devra maîtriser l’anglais et une langue locale (swahili, haoussa, bemba/nyanja ou twi), posséder d’excellentes compétences interpersonnelles, rédactionnelles et de prise de parole en public, et être capable de gérer plusieurs projets sous pression. La pensée stratégique, la capacité à déléguer et à décider rapidement, ainsi qu’un engagement fort en faveur de l’égalité des chances des personnes handicapées sont des atouts essentiels. Une maîtrise opérationnelle du français est souhaitable.
Le contrat proposé est un CDD de 9 mois, à temps partiel (25–28 heures par semaine), avec une certaine flexibilité dans l’organisation du temps de travail. La localisation est flexible entre le Ghana, le Kenya, le Nigeria et la Zambie, avec un package de rémunération et des conditions locales conformes aux pratiques de Sightsavers. About the role

Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Essential
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of delivering global communications strategies, plans and activities
- Project management experience and a track record of results in working with a range of organisations and stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience working in the international development / humanitarian sector and awareness and strong commitment to social justice
- Experience of working in organisations and / or on communications campaigns with a strong focus on inclusion
- Experience of designing and managing budgets to deliver communications activities
- Strong experience and understanding of inclusive and accessible communication strategies
- Experience of managing a team
- Experience of working within a global team
- Commitment to disability and gender inclusion
- Excellent English communication skills and fluency in at least one of these local languages (Swahili, Hausa, Bemba /Nyanja, or Twi)
- Agile strategic thinking
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines within strict time constraints
- Strong presentational and public speaking skills
- Ability to effectively delegate and make decisions
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, within a multicultural context
- An understanding of and commitment to equality of opportunities for people with disabilities.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office 365
Desirable
- Working proficiency in spoken and written French is desirable.
