L'organisation Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) recherche un spécialiste des données pour intégrer son équipe de suivi et amélioration des programmes (PMI), basée à Nairobi. Ce poste s'inscrit dans une dynamique de renforcement de la qualité, de l'accessibilité et de l'utilisation des données programmatiques à travers l'ensemble des projets de l'ONG. Le titulaire aura pour missions principales de coordonner et d'orienter le développement des systèmes de suivi, notamment Salesforce, SurveyCTO et Tableau, de maintenir les indicateurs standards et les listes de choix associées aux produits et résultats, et de développer des tableaux de bord pour les équipes de suivi-évaluation et les équipes projets. Il contribuera également à la conception et à la gestion d'une base de données des résultats de GAIN, une fois celle-ci opérationnelle, et veillera à la qualité et à l'intégrité des données utilisées pour les rapports de performance destinés aux bailleurs. Dans une perspective d'apprentissage et de redevabilité, le spécialiste interprétera les données de suivi, préparera des notes, briefs et rapports conformes aux standards internes, et soutiendra la mise en œuvre de formations internes sur le suivi des programmes, en lien avec les directives de gestion de projets et le conseiller en gestion de programme. Il contribuera aussi à des approches de renforcement des capacités des équipes et des partenaires locaux en matière de monitoring programmatique.
Le profil recherché allie une expérience confirmée en gestion de données, analytique, systèmes d'information ou intelligence économique appliquée au secteur non lucratif, avec une capacité démontrée à transformer des données complexes en informations actionnables. Le candidat idéal maîtrise les outils de visualisation comme Power BI ou Tableau, Excel avancé, ainsi qu'un ou plusieurs langages statistiques tels que R/RStudio, STATA ou Python. Une expérience avec SQL, les bases de données structurées, les plateformes de collecte numérique comme SurveyCTO et les systèmes d'information type Salesforce est hautement souhaitable. Une bonne compréhension des principes de suivi-évaluation, des indicateurs, des cadres de résultats et de la théorie du changement est requise. Le poste exige d'excellentes compétences interpersonnelles et de communication, afin de collaborer avec des équipes pluridisciplinaires et de traduire leurs besoins en solutions data pratiques. Une expérience en renforcement des capacités des collègues sur ces sujets serait un atout.
Les conditions proposées comprennent un contrat à durée déterminée de deux ans, sous réserve de disponibilité des financements. Le salaire annuel brut de départ est compris entre 3 219 600 et 3 683 388 KES selon l'expérience. Le poste est basé à Nairobi, au Kenya. GAIN ne sponsorise pas de visas ni de relocalisation : les candidats doivent déjà disposer du droit de travailler et résider dans le pays. About the role
GAIN is seeking to recruit a Data Specialist within our Programme Monitoring & Improvement (PMI) team to provide technical expertise in data management, analytics and digital systems to strengthen the quality, accessibility and use of programme data across GAIN. The role will involve the development and continuous improvement of programme data systems and digital tools, ensure data quality and integrity, and support the development and management of GAIN's results database.
Working closely with PMI teams across GAIN, the postholder will analyse and integrate data from multiple sources, develop dashboards and other analytical products, and translate programme data into actionable insights that support performance monitoring, programme improvement and decision-making. The role will also strengthen the capacity of teams to effectively use data systems, tools and analytical outputs throughout the programme lifecycle.
This role will be offered on a two (2) year fixed term contract, subject to availability of funding and will be based in Nairobi, Kenya. This advert closes on 20th August 2026. Key Responsibilities include
- Coordinate and guide the development of monitoring system improvements (Salesforce, SurveyCTO, Tableau) for the organization.
- Curate and maintain GAIN’s standard indicators, Output and Outcome picklist.
- Develop dashboards for PMI and Project teams to facilitate performance monitoring and decision making.
- Will support the development of a GAIN Results database for project data and will manage said database once live.
- Oversee, review and interpret monitoring data as part of preparation for GAIN’s performance and donor reports and ensure quality of project reports aligning with the theory of change and results framework.
- Ensure the analysis of information collected and reporting, including writing reports, briefs and other materials is in line with GAIN standards.
- Supports implementation of in-house training for staff on programme monitoring, closely linked to the GAIN Project Management Guidelines (PMGs) through the delivery of workshops, seminars and training modules in partnership with the Program Management Advisor
- Contribute to the development of approaches to address capacity development needs related to programme monitoring, including among partners.
About you
The ideal candidate will possess experience in data management, data analytics, information systems, business intelligence or a related quantitative field, with demonstrable experience using data and digital systems to support programme performance and decision-making. You will have practical experience managing, validating, cleaning and analysing complex datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity, and developing dashboards and analytical products that translate data into clear, actionable insights.
You will be proficient in data visualisation and analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau, alongside advanced Excel and statistical or analytical tools such as R/RStudio, STATA or Python. Experience working with SQL and structured databases, digital data collection platforms such as SurveyCTO, and information management platforms such as Salesforce would be highly desirable. Understanding of programme monitoring principles within a non-profit setting and how data systems, indicators and results frameworks support programme performance, learning and continuous improvement is required.
You will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with programme, monitoring and technical teams and translate their information needs into practical data solutions. Experience strengthening colleagues' capacity in data quality, digital data collection, data systems, analytics or dashboards would be advantageous.
About our offer

Successful candidates will be based in one of GAIN’s country offices and must have the existing right to live and work within a reasonably commutable distance of the relevant city / cities in which the role is advertised.
